"I’m based in Wicklow, Ireland and have always produced art in some way. For many years I worked in animation and went back to college as a mature student and got my BA (Hons) in Visual Art. My work is portrait based, usually from various film and TV subjects, therefore getting a good likeness is very important. I have worked as a sketch card artist for years on projects such as Star Wars, The Hobbit, Star Trek and The Walking Dead.

I usually use Copic illustration markers and coloured pencils in my pieces and I often work on a small scale, around 5x7 inches or smaller. For the Joe Hannah drawing I did the main portrait in pencils with a little bit of Copic marker for the background. My reference was an old photograph of the player so it was a challenge to get a good likeness. I wanted to get it spot on as I knew it was honouring a former Norwich City legend."
