"I am a graphic designer, illustrator and art director based in São Paulo. I have been working in the media industry for over 10 years and have a big passion for pop culture and football. In Brazil I cheer for Santos, the team that brought us Pelé, Giovanni, Robinho and Neymar. I was honoured to be asked to contribute this Ian Crook artwork to Norwich City for their amazing programme covers project.

When I do portraits I like to give them this serene and calm expression so they look respectful and inspirational. I think of them as people who deserve to be remembered and that’s totally the case with Crook, a true Canary legend. Also, I love the kit he is wearing so much! The green stripes make it visually striking and I wanted to keep the piece simple and stylised to bring this iconic feel to it. The colours are the same as the Brazil national team who we also call ‘canarinho’ (canary), which has helped me become very fond of Norwich City."
