"I’m a Norfolk boy by origin but now live in north Devon with my partner and our son. I went to the Norwich School of Art and Design, as it was called back then. After a lot of trying, I finally became an illustrator in 2013 when I began a PhD in Architecture. The illustration was a way for me to decompress from my research and I began to sell a few pieces and then came a few commissions, then a few more. Before I knew it, illustration had become an equal part of my life along with the PhD.

My illustration style has been heavily influenced by the same period as my academic studies, the years between the First and Second World War. I find myself drawn to topics relating to this era, football being one of them. My artistic influences are far and wide including John Nash, Herge, C.S. Jagger and many, many more. My illustration for OTBC of the legendary Bernard Robinson fits perfectly in my area of interest, depicting a game played at The Nest ground during the infamous 1933–34 season. Robinson and co went on to win the Division Three South and it was a pleasure to draw him for this programme cover."
