New series of cover artwork for Norwich City

8 August, 2018

Following on from the success of last season’s Norwich City matchday programmes, we’re pleased to reveal our partnership with the Canaries will continue for the 2018/19 campaign.

This time the cover artwork will feature a different legend for every matchday in a new Portrait of an Icon series, celebrating the 23 players who have played over 300 times for the club.

First up is goalkeeping hero and record appearances holder Kevin Keelan who has been illustrated by London based artist Raj Dhunna for the opening match against West Bromwich Albion.

Over the course of the season various artists will be allocated a different icon to interpret into an artistic portrait using a variety of styles including illustration, painting, drawing and photography.

To accompany the new player portraits, we've also freshened up the cover layout for this season and introduced a specially designed logo for the Portrait of an Icon series. The logo design reinterprets the Norwich City club crest as a hanging piece of framed artwork and will sit alongside each portrait on the cover of every issue.

The planning and research is well underway for the first batch of matches and you can follow the project on social media as we reveal the different covers week-by-week throughout the season.
